- final consonant after a short, stressed vowel or l as final consonant after a vowel is doubled: admit – admitted / travel – travelled
- final y after a consonant becomes i: hurry – hurried
Positive way: I played yesterday. (Yo jugué ayer.)
Negative way: I did not play. / I didn’t play. (yo no jugué.)
Questions: Did you play? (¿tú jugaste?)
Activity: Write five sentences using positive, five using negative, and five using questions. You must use different subjects and different verbs.
